Why We Created BioScribe
BioScribe was born from a deeply personal place. I'll never forget the morning I woke up to a phone call from my father—my mom had suffered a heart attack. That call changed everything.
What followed were years of heart failure, more heart attacks, and eventually a stroke. Through it all, I carried this growing weight: there was so much I wanted to know about her life. Stories from her childhood, lessons she'd learned, moments that shaped who she became. But between hospital visits, treatments, and the exhaustion that comes with serious illness, finding the time and energy to capture those stories felt impossible.
I searched for something, anything, that would make it easy for us to preserve her memories. Something that didn't require her to sit and type for hours or me to become a professional interviewer and writer. I wanted a way to simply have conversations with her and know that her story would be beautifully preserved. But nothing existed that felt right.
That's why I created BioScribe. Not as a tech product, but as the solution I desperately wished I'd had. A way for families to capture life stories through natural conversations, no technical skills, no overwhelming process, just meaningful moments turned into something tangible and lasting.
